MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 145

Welcome to the 145th chapter of Phish.net's Mystery Jam, er, "Monday." Just like your local clichéd classic rock FM radio station, this will be a true "Two for Tuesday" edition, as you'll be playing to win TWO MP3 downloads courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first contestant to correctly identify this week's song and date. Each contestant gets one guess per day, with the second “day” starting after I post the hint. A hint will be posted on Wednesday if necessary, and the answer will be posted on Thursday. Good luck!

Answer: A pair of MP3s goes to first-time winner @viola, who successfully identified the 6/19/09 A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing. Well done!

T-minus three days until MJM Part 146...

IdRatherBeOnTour Sounds very familiar as I was at this show...this is gonna be a much tougher one than tbe last to figure out. Doesn't sound nearly as unique.

Wouldn't be surprised. I had just decided that Page sound was pretty July 03, like a Fee outro or something...

postrnutbag The jam has that real Simple feel to it, was going with a 3.0 version.

02_20_2003 i love that show.... what a storm that blew through during set1 fluff closer, then the second set goes deep. the tweezer> 2001 is also a must hear. and the drowned twist is nothing to glance at, mike needs the kavorkian treatment cause he was sending bass bombs off the backboard and reverse slamming

phishncincy Damn it! Nice one @02_20_2003. I was busy listening to 6-23-04 Ya Mar as my guess. Knew it had a Deer Creek vibe to it.

Well done. I went mad scouring very similar sounding 3.0 Simples, given the F major key. I suppose then that this here is a textbook type II jam.

postrnutbag @02_20_2003 crushed it. Actually thought I had a chance at it this time.
, comment by Feel_The_Bern
Feel_The_Bern I was thinking the 8/6/10 Simple, but I guess it is ASIHTOS 6/19/09. Well done!

tomwom51 Every week I don't get to listen to this until after 5 because of work and it's always already guessed. Well Done!
, comment by makisupaman
makisupaman One of the first break-out jams of 3.0, nicely done @viola!
, comment by whatstheuse324
whatstheuse324 My wife and I had our young son with us on the back of the lawn, so we had to bail on the second set with the impending storm of doom heading our way. It was the first show I ever had to leave early, I'm still a little bummed about it. What a show though...

TwiceBitten Second set of 6/19/09 looks pretty good. just digging in now

02_20_2003 two for tuesday is righteous-city

thanx nugs.net and lp for the downloads, and mucho respecto phish.net and the 145th edition of mmj.

question for ks and the lp crew..... there was so much electricity in the air this night due to classic indiana weather rolling through, is it possible that the sound-board recording was affected in any way. i sat center pavillion and nothng has captured what the band was throwing down this night, mike and fish are severely ignored on the official release and what went down this nite compared to what circulates is not even close imho
